This radiant barrier product, Sunshield Radiant Heat Barrier Paint Additive is made by 3M and is a paint additive used as an energy saving barrier on top of school buses, major hotels, and buildings like Wall Mart. The same additive can be applied to residential homes to cut utility bills down to affordable levels. When mixed with an elastomeric paint the microspheres, which are hollow, form a barrier much like an insulated window does. These ceramic micro spheres when mixed with paint block the radiant heat, so it is great to apply in attics, roofing shingles, exterior walls(will mix with colors) or interior walls. Application of product in these areas stops heat transfer , unlike foil or foam, because it gets inti every crack and crevice. The application is great for winter as blocks radiant heat escaping thru attic and walls. The uses are endless, and stops constant maintenance . Directions for use are included with every order. Enough Radiant heat barrier paint additive is supplied to mix with 5 gallons of paint. Recommendations for paint are packaged with directions that come with each order.
